The Course
Across the holes we have mapped, the fairway measures a median 30 yards wide where a tee shot lands, and pinches to 27 at its narrowest. Thirteen of the 18 holes bend more than 18 yards off the straight line, and they nearly all turn left. The map carries 49 bunkers. Water crosses the line of play on the 7th, 9th, 13th and 14th.
With water across the line of play on six holes, the gap between the right club and the obvious one is at its widest. Yards simulates each of those tee shots for your handicap and your own carry distances, then names the target that loses fewest strokes. Holes 1 and 2 are open to anyone, which here means a 555-yard par 5 and a 351-yard par 4.
