Terms of Service

1. Who We Are

Yards Golf Book ("the Service", "we") is operated by Thomas Duggan, doing business as Yards Golf Book, in British Columbia, Canada. You can reach us at support@yardsgolfbook.com.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

3. The Service

Yards Golf Book provides digital yardage books, shot dispersion analysis, strokes gained data, and course strategy tools for golfers. The Service is provided "as is" for informational and recreational purposes.

4. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must provide accurate information when creating an account.

5. Purchases and Billing

Payments are processed by Stripe. Prices are shown at checkout in USD or CAD before you confirm any purchase.

Single-course purchases are a one-time payment granting permanent access to one course for your account. There is no renewal and nothing to cancel.

Course builds. If you buy a course that is not yet finished to our production standard, we complete the build within 10 business days of purchase and email you when it is live. If we miss that deadline, you may request a full refund.

All Access subscriptions renew automatically. An annual plan renews every 12 months, and a legacy monthly plan renews every month, at the then-current price for your plan, charged to your payment method on file, until you cancel. For annual plans we email reminders about 30 days, 7 days, and 1 day before the renewal charge.

How to cancel: open the billing portal from your account page, or email support@yardsgolfbook.com. Cancelling stops future charges; you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for.

Refunds. Except as described above for missed course builds, digital purchases are non-refundable once delivered, subject to any non-waivable rights you have under the consumer protection law of your place of residence. If something is wrong, email us and we will make it right.

Price changes. If the price of your subscription changes, we will notify you by email at least 30 days before it applies to your renewal.

6. Course Mapping Contributions

When you submit course mapping data through the mapping editor, you grant Yards Golf Book a perpetual right to use, modify, and publish that data as part of the Service, and you confirm you created it yourself. Contribution rewards (permanent course access and library-wide bonus time) are granted when a submission is accepted, as described on the pricing page.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Redistribute or resell course data, yardage books, or generated PDFs
• Scrape, crawl, or programmatically access the Service without permission
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data

8. Intellectual Property

The Yards Golf Book name, design, and proprietary analysis models are the property of Yards Golf Book. Course mapping data is sourced from OpenStreetMap contributors under the Open Data Commons Open Database License (ODbL). Tree canopy height data is derived from the Meta / World Resources Institute global canopy height dataset, available under CC-BY 4.0.

9. Disclaimer

Yardage, strategy recommendations, and strokes gained estimates are approximate and based on statistical models. Actual course conditions, weather, and individual performance will vary. Yards Golf Book is not responsible for on-course outcomes.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Yards Golf Book shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. For material changes affecting paid plans we will notify you by email before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without limiting any non-waivable consumer rights of your place of residence. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of British Columbia.
