Mapped by the
people who play them.

The course library is drawn by the golfers who actually play these courses. Every fairway, bunker, green, and tree on the production courses was traced by someone who plays there.

Most take about 15 minutes when OpenStreetMap already has the course shape. You drop in tree clusters, confirm the routing, and it's live.

Why we did it this way

The data is better when the mapper plays the course.

Course geometry is the most expensive thing in a digital yardage book. Our closest competitor sells a paper book for $55 and pays a team to draw the maps. We thought there was a better way: ask the people who play the courses.

The data's better. Someone who plays a course every week knows where the OB hides, which side of the fairway runs out, and which trees actually come into play.

The coverage's better. Commercial mapping covers the famous courses. Community mapping covers your municipal track too.

It works out for the people doing the work. Map a course and you own that course on Yards forever, plus rolling access across the rest of the library. Map five and the library is yours for a year.

What you get back.

You do You get
Map a new course (flag, green, routing, trees for 18 holes)Permanent access to that course + 30 bonus days library-wide
Improve an existing course (greens, fairway lines, trees)Permanent access to that course + 7 bonus days library-wide
Map 5 accepted courses in a monthA full year of Scratch across every course ($79.99 value)
Map a course nobody else has touchedAbove + credited as original contributor

The bar is real. Every accepted submission has GPS routing on 18 holes, traced greens, tee boxes, fairways, and around a hundred mapped trees. We're strict about it because the strategy engine's recommendations are only as good as the geometry underneath.

Your home course
isn't on Yards yet?

The fastest way to fix that: map it. Most 18-hole courses take 30–90 minutes.
